Certain
months
have an informational program scheduled. Popular topics in the past
have included: CPR/first aid training, saving for college, promoting
self-esteem in children, managing sibling rivalry, Mom-to-Mom support
and pediatric dentistry.
Peer
counselors
are available to offer moral support and non-medical guidance. Frequent
phone calls are made to new contacts to ensure that their needs are
being met. The Support Line also coordinates meal deliveries to new
parents and maintains resource materials. Emphasis is placed on
expectant and new moms.
- Clothing, Toy and Equipment Exchanges
These
sales are
held bi-annually with rules for selling and buying published in the
newsletter. On sale are reasonably priced clothing, toys, and equipment
previously owned by club members.
